Samia Zuber is the Executive Director at Hack the Hood. Samia joined the organization in June 2021 and was recently named Executive Director to propel HtH into a new phase of strategic growth and continue our 10-year legacy of impact in the Bay Area. As a nonprofit leader, Samia brings extensive experience in providing inclusive leadership, developing programs, and fostering community partnerships to advance the promise and potential of BIPOC youth. Samia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, with minors in Sociology and Community and Regional Development.
Before joining HtH, Samia worked with Code2040 where she focused on building and nurturing a pipeline of Black and Latinx technologists for internship placement at leading tech companies. Beyond her involvement with Hack the Hood, Samia contributes to the community in various capacities. She currently serves as a council member on BART's Link 21 Project Equity Advisory Committee. Additionally, she holds a position as an advisory board member and tutor at Boost! West Oakland, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to equitable access to educational experiences for West Oakland youth.
